Reform: a conservative

In a commentary, Mr. Bissonnette sent a link to a presentation Simon Larose, a professor at the Faculty of Education at Laval University and director of Project Renewal Assessment in Education secondary.

I transcribe my comment here reply to feed the thoughts and I invite you to read this document.

In summary, the document you cite indicates that perceptions about the impact of the reform appear to be more negative among parents and students.

Regarding figures on school performance, I have my reservations. It is difficult to compare assessments so few comparable. The difference could be even greater. But there is talk of increasing failures in high school and greater enrollment in summer courses.

Furthermore, we see greater consultation with professional help. There are several ways about it: a better screening system or a creaking everywhere. But

synthesis (slide 58) is very clear Three variables are considered for renewal (11%) and 22 are out of favor (81.5%).

Larose still remains cautious in its conclusions:

These effects can testify:

• A transition period associated with the gradual implementation of the RP and alterations which were the object.

• A media coverage and further underlines the social problems inherent in PR as its advantages.

• elements of a system redesign.

is vague, it, elements of a system to rethink ....
